Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
To show the product category on your meta description, you should use the %term%
variable.
I’ve checked the product you shared, and the description is already showing in the page’s source code. Here’s a screenshot for your reference: https://i.rankmath.com/eZ6Oux
Could you please confirm if that is the description you wanted to show? For the missing meta description upon editing your products, please clear your website’s cache and check if the issue still persists.
I hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Please use %customterm(product_cat)%
to display the product category in the SEO Title or Description.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
Thanks.

Hello,
The value of the variable will only be fetched in the frontend. If you check your page’s source or use a tool like https://heymeta.com to check the meta data then you will be able to see the name of the product category there.
Hope this clarifies your doubts. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
Thanks.
