Plugin is giving other plugin, Elementor 500 errors when saving

Hello, I was having problems saving my front page using the Elementor plugin and worked with their support to narrow down the issue and it ended up being your plugin.

If I disable it I can update and save the page no problem. If its active when trying to save the page it pushes back an internal 500 error. They couldn’t help me beyond disabling your plugin and said to contact you for a possible future fix.

The sensitive data area contains a copy of the error log from my .php file for your reference.

    Thanks,
    -Tony

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please check if your website’s PHP values are not too low to handle the processes.

You can check that by going to WordPress dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info tab > Server

If the values are low, please contact your web host and ask them to set the following values:

    PHP Memory Limit: 512M
    Max input time: 150
    PHP time limit: 120
    PHP max input variables: 1000

That should fix the issue. Let us know if it doesn’t.

We look forward to helping you.

Yep, went through all that and upped my memory limit as the solution with elementor, no dice. Running on Ubuntu 20.04 with OpenLiteSpeed WordPress on a high frequency server from Vultr.

Everything is up to date and it’s really weird that the plugin doesn’t conflict with any other page, its only on my page that is set to home. Not sure what to do its either update the page with R M disabled and reenable or find another SEO, which I really don’t want too lol

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I was able to replicate the issue on your site. I tried to check for a conflict but the Health Check plugin’s troubleshooting mode is not working on your site. Can you please create a staging site for us so we can troubleshoot this there?

You can use the following guide to create a staging site: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

The staging website URL you shared returns a 404 page as you can see in the screenshot in the Sensitive Data section.

Could you please check it again so we can further investigate the issue?

Looking forward to helping you with this one.

I think you need to log into the site first, then go to https://nanobattle.com/rank-math/ first then admin. Its through the plugin WP Staging, admin bar is bright orange so you know it when you see it. Tested it in the staging site and it has the 500 error too.

I also put the last two ip addresses to access testadmin on the whitelist so hopefully that clears access.

    Thanks,
    -Tony

    Hello,

This particular issue is being caused by a conflict between the widget from your theme that adds the latest posts to the homepage and our plugin.

We recommend that you get in touch with the theme provider and see if they already have a solution for this situation.

There’s also additional info about the error that states:

[18-Oct-2021 23:23:19 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined array key 0 in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/vikinger/includes/functions/vikinger-functions-blog.php on line 318
[18-Oct-2021 23:23:19 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, null given in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/vikinger/includes/functions/vikinger-functions-blog.php:324

This should help the team debug the issue more easily.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Thanks so much for looking into this, I will contact the theme and get it sort out with them. Really appreciate the thoroughness here, It’s part of why I use this plugin over others. Going to get Pro.

    Thanks again,
    -Tony
