    Hello,
I am seeing a lot of page(s) like categories, product pages, and etc. under Indexed, not submitted in sitemap! I have observed the crawl date is old (few months old) on some of these links.

    Troubleshooting done so far:
    – I have these enabled to include these in sitemaps but I am still seeing them under: Indexed, not submitted in sitemap.
    – Removed and re-added sitemaps to Google Search Console.

Please advise on how can I resolve it!

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The login link that you have shared isn’t working and redirecting to your homepage.

However, I was able to check that your product categories are set as noindex:

That’s why there is no sitemap being generated for the product categories. Please navigate to WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Product Categories and set the Robots Meta as index.

Once done, the product category sitemap should be included in your main sitemap. After confirming that, please remove all previously submitted sitemaps from your GSC and resubmit your main sitemap. The issue should be resolved once Google crawls the sitemap again.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to your update.

    Hi Jaideep,

Thanks for your reply. It is set to no index for archives product categories and not for the ones that are active. Please advise how can I add the active product categories to sitemap?
For your reference, I have shared the screenshot of the current settings under the Sensitive Data section.

Also, please advise on the product page(s) as well. Some of the product pages are in sitemap and some of them are not.

    Please advise.
    Thank you!

    Hello,

I checked some of the products in the screenshot and they are present in your sitemap already.

Can you please follow these steps?

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

After doing the steps above, remove the sitemap and resubmit it as instructed by my colleague previously.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,
I have followed the instructions and have couple more questions:
    – How long does Google takes to crawl after re-submitting sitemap? In other words, some of the crawls I am seeing are earlier from the year (January 2021)? So, how can I invoke to crawl quicker/earliest possible?
    – Some of the pages that should be indexed are under: ‘Crawled – currently not indexed’. How can I make those indexed as these are product pages?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

    – How long does Google takes to crawl after re-submitting sitemap?

Websites and their contents are free to be indexed by search engines. It’s possible that certain postings will take longer to be indexed than others. Because there is no hard and fast method for appearing on Google, the only way to boost your chances of appearing on Google is to optimize your content. Consider optimizing your content and relying on Google for the rest.

For Crawled Currently Not Indexed: The page was crawled by Google, but not indexed. It may or may not be indexed in the future; no need to resubmit this URL for crawling.
