The meta description might be coming from your page’s or post’s main description.
Below is the sequence which Rank Math uses to generate the description:
1) The Description text added in the Description field
2) If text is not added in the Description field then the plugin will use excerpt/short description
3) If the short description field is also empty then the plugin will use the value-added in the Settings.
However, you can select your meta description from the drop-down list or manually write your own description there.

It seems like this text is coming from your default meta description field which is set %excerpt%. And this type of text mostly comes if you have an image at the beginning of the content if the %excerpt% option is selected.
You can find your default meta description for posts and pages by going Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post Types > Posts or Pages > Single Post Description or Single Page Description.
