Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
Could you please check in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Product: Categories if your title and meta description are already set?

Please also try editing those pages and updating their meta title and description manually.
If the issue still persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
I provided login credentials.
I have tried setting the meta titles. I even tried setting it to a static value, but no success. The meta title appears to grab the title of the first product listed in the archive. If I resort or filter the archive, the title will change to the new product in the #1 position.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
We really look forward to helping you.
Unfortunately, it appears to be a conflict with the BigCommerce for WordPress plugin (which is pretty crucial for our site’s functionality). I’ll reach out to BC, but I’m not holding my breath that they’ll make that a priority.
I will say, I did just deactivate Rank Math and activated Yoast to see if the issue persisted with another SEO plugin, and it doesn’t. As much as I love Rank Math, I might just need to use Yoast for the meantime.
Hello,
If the team over at BigCommerce doesn’t implement a fix from their side could you at least ask them what actions they use to generate the titles and where they are called?
This way we might be able to create some filter to disable those on some pages and let our plugin generate the title from the settings.
We can’t really know for sure if this implementation would work, but if they give us more technical information on this it might help solve the situation.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
