  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

You can simply set up a regex redirection under Rank Math to redirect old URLs with “product-category” slug to URLs with “collections” slugs.

Please enable Rank Math’s Redirection module and add this redirection rule:
    rule

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

hi tried to follow your instructions but getting 404 errors on all category pages now
I went to permalink settings – optional – category base – and added collections.
for product category base I left as product-category

I then went to rank math redirection and added this
    product-category/ regex
    /collections/

I didn’t add the * or $1 from your instructions as didn’t see why they would be needed

    Hello,

If you want to change the base of your product categories then instead of Category Base you should change the Product Category Base in the permalink settings.

Instead of product-category use collections for the Product Category Base and then the redirection should work fine.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
