I Have since understood that e-landing page is pages created by elementor. We have used elementor for years creating landing pages and posts. I have never seen this sitemap previously. Why is it appearing now and is in necesary?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I checked the attachment URL you shared and it seems it was currently looping with Rank Math’s redirection. Please refer to this screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/zxKKeq
Could you please check if you have a redirection rule set in WordPress > Rank Math > Redirections?
You may also clear your website cache and see if this resolves the issue.
As for the new post type detected by Rank Math, whenever a new post type is added, Rank Math notifies you that you can manage its SEO settings from your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Titles & Meta, and also you can modify the Sitemap settings for the post type from your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings.
It is just a notification and you can dismiss it using the “X” button on the right side of the notification.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi
I did create a redirect for that url to be directed to the home page yesterday evening but after a while I deactivated it. I have since validated the issue in GSC so lets see if it is resolved. It might have been something deleted in the media library and on friday I did not cache properly before finishing work. The site was crawled over the weekend and the URL was picked up as a problem. Hopefully is is not an issue after the validation.
As to the other issue. Is this a new thing from rank math the e- landing pages as we have been making pages and landing pages with elementor for a long time now and this has never came up. Will it affect our SEO if I exclude it from the sitemap as all our pages are in the pages sitemap?
Thanks for your help
Hello,
Elementor has introduced Landing Pages as a new post type in their recent update. That notification from Rank Math appears to notify you that a new post type is available so you can check the settings for it.
It will not cause any issues if you exclude it from the sitemap. If it’s empty then it will be excluded automatically from your main sitemap.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
