  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

It is a pretty common mistake to open the page source and search for a noindex tag to see if the page is marked as noindex or not. In your case, you saw the mention of noindex and assumed that the page is set as noindex. The actual noindex tag is added like this:

    <meta name="robots" content="noindex">

However, I’ve checked the product and verified that it is set to noindex.

When the WooCommerce module is enabled in Rank Math > Dashboard, Rank Math automatically adds the noindex to the robots meta of myaccount, checkout, and cart pages. In this case, you can check if there are any plugins adding these pages’ functions to your products.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Let us know if you have found the culprit.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

This is a totally pointless reply!

I clearly indicated that the NOINDEX issue I am having is with a product page and nothing to do with myaccount, checkout, and cart pages!

Please could you investigate the page in question?

    Kind regards

    Hello,

I have checked the link you mentioned and it’s doesn’t seem like the page is set to no-index.

Here is the screenshot for your reference:

Also, The screenshot you mentioned didn’t have any no-index tag; it was just a normal link containing the noindex text, and it has nothing to do with the robot.

And it will be removed when you log out from the WP dashboard.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

That is because with my own investigation I have found that the plugin BUY NOW in the plugin store has 2 versions 1 is new and 1 old, I had the older installed which for some reason was no indexing the product, the newer version does not cause this issue so far/

    THank you anyway

    Hello,

I am glad that you have found the cause of the issue.

If you have another question in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and it will be our pleasure to assist you again.

    Thank you.
