Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The og:image:alt
is taken from the ALT text of your image. You will have to translate the alt text of your image in order to use it in the og:image:alt
tag for your translated pages. Here is a guide on how to translate the on-page text using WPML: https://rankmath.com/kb/multilingual-seo-wpml/#translating-content
And the og:image:alt
has nothing to do with your images being indexed in the search results. It is only used for social sharing. Can you please share the URL of a translated post so we can check and assist you further? Also share some keywords for which your post is being indexed but no images are shown in the search results.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi!
Thank you for your answer.
Somehow I managed to erase my response when I uploaded the sensitive data 😉
He will give 2 examples:
Woocommerce product:
I use the main image of the product, which I translated ALT into Slovenian. The translation of this image is not visible in the source code. It always calls the English version. The picture ranks only for English KW and not for Slovenian.
Web page:
I use 3 images on the page. All of these images are added within the page. All translated alts are visible. But still, the English version is in og:image:alt. These Slovenian images are ranked on Google, as they are visible in the source code of the page.
I also attach RANKMATH custom fields for WPML.
However, I do not believe that this og:image:alt has nothing to do with the ranking of the translated product image, because it is the only image on the product page and the translated alt is not visible in the source code.
Plese help 🙂
I have fixed the issue!
You need to do the following on product pages and classic pages:
Duplicate uploaded media to translations
Duplicate featured image to translations
Thank you guys!
