Post marked as no-index are showing in sitemap

    Hi!
We have noticed that some of the posts set to no-index are still listed in the sitemap. This, of course, is not proper behavior as a post which is set to no-index should be excluded from being indexed in any way. Now, this is also quite confusing for the index and makes a mess in Search Console. In one place we are saying that the post should be indexed and in another place that very same post should not be indexed.

Please, can you suggest how to solve this? Is this a bug in the plugin or there are some settings that we are missing to set up properly?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This is certainly unexpected behavior and could suggest that your sitemap file is getting cached by your server.
Could you please check your caching options and check if the sitemap file has been excluded?
You can then do the following to refresh the sitemap links:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
