I am currently migrating the plugin, but i have just thought on..
Does this migration take the local pages from yoast local seo and add them to the site or is it just the meta data for the pages?

Yes, Feel free to migrate from Yoast to Rank Math, Your location will also be migrated.
If you think location hasn’t imported. You can Re-import the Yoast Data by heading over to WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export > Other Plugins.
