woocommerce schema

    Rank Math free

    How do I resolve these warnings for schema markup for Woocommerce products? I do not have ratings or reviews. My products are prints of my photographs, so the brand is my brand but I don’t have an appropriate option to add my business as the brand. I’m using the free version of Rank Math.

    In Google Images search results, my images have the “licensable” tag but not the “product” tag. I am assuming these warnings prevent the product tag, or does the licensable tag automatically override it?

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    Rank Math takes the schema data from your product pages automatically and turns it into Schema-ready content. Likewise, the aggregateRating and review fields are taken from your actual product reviews that your buyers/customers leave on your products.

    If you don’t have any reviews yet, that is going to show up as a warning in the schema testing tool. That’s because Google will actually look for those fields.

    Please acquire some reviews and ratings to get rid of the aggregateRating and review warnings.

    To fix the brand warning, head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > WooCommerce and choose from any of the available fields to use as your product’s brands.

    Brand Value

    If you want to use a custom value for your Brands, you can do that by using the following code in your theme’s functions.php file:

    // Add Brand for Products.
    add_filter( 'rank_math/snippet/rich_snippet_product_entity', function( $entity ) {
    $entity['brand'] = 'Rank Math';
    return $entity;
    });

    Replace the “Rank Math” text with your actual brand name then run your website through the Google’s Rich Results testonce again.

    With Rank Math PRO, you can fix the warning No global identifier provided by filling out these details. Here’s the link for your reference:

    However, please note that these are just warnings and optional values for the Product Schema.

    In Google Images search results, my images have the “licensable” tag but not the “product” tag.

    Could you please share the product URL so we can also check and advise accordingly?

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you, and looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

    I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi Reinelle,

    Thanks for the info. Your code works if I leave Rank Math as the brand name but throws an error that takes my site down if I put my name/business as the brand name. Screenshot: https://ibb.co/g7xpVYY

    Here’s an example of a product’s image in Google Image search results showing the licensable tag. My images have both the licensable info and they should have the product info for product tags. However, none show the product tag, they all show licensable. https://ibb.co/wQLdPwH

    Direct link to a product is in the sensitive data section.

    Thanks!
    Scott

    If the code is working before it should work with that too. You must be missing something, Please doublecheck the code and try again. if issue persist, We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    It’s up to google to honor the request. If Google is not showing now, Allow google some time and check if that changes in time?

    We really look forward to helping you.
