Internal links data not accurate

    Hi,

    I am using the rank math plugin. Lately I have noticed that the internal link information for each of my posts is not accurate. When I go to update one post with a new internal link, the counter shifts all the internal links to external links. For example, initially one post had 4 internal links, 10 external links. After adding the new internal link, the counter shifted to 1 internal link, 14 external links. Very weird.

    I tried clearing my server, CDN, and browser cache. No help. I also tried deleting the internal links data under site tools. Now all the counters read zero. So not sure what’s supposed to happen next to get all the numbers back accurate again.

    Could you please confirm if you’re using any page builders? If yes, then please let us know the name of the page builder.

    As you’ve cleared the internal links data, please update some of the affected posts and see if the link counter shows the correct numbers.

    If the issue persists, then assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
