Your new Version 1.0.23 has broken logic in the editing area.
Thankfully, it doesn’t affect published posts.

No matter what setting is in the advanced tab, Rank Math says

    NOINDEX ROBOTS META IS ENABLED
This page will not appear in search results.

    Hi Alan,

We are so sorry about that.

Can you please check if you haven’t selected that in the Global Meta at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta?

    Please let us know.

    Thank for checking Todd.
    Here is the global Meta:

Also, FYI, this is what it did on another site: stopped character counter working:

    stopped character counter working

Todd, I changed the setting for:

Noindex Empty Category and Tag Archives
from ON to OFF and then that NOINDEX message sent away.

So I changed it back to ON and the message didn’t come back.

    – Doing this did not fix the problem on the site that the character count stopped.
ALSO on that site, pressing Enter does not lock in the changed Snippet text.

    Hi Alan,

    Thanks for the response.

Would you mind sharing some temporary admin access to your site on the sensitive data section so that I can investigate this issue further?

    Hope to hear back soon.

    Hi Alan,

    Thanks for the access.

I have just logged in to your site and noted that there could be a conflict with either your theme or one of your installed plugin that is breaking the custom meta description box and causing it to appear on the wrong section within the Rank math meta box. Since this is a live site, I could only run limited tests. Do you think you could perform a conflict test for us through these steps https://community.mythemeshop.com/tutorials/article/52-confirming-a-plugin-conflict/

    Hope to hear back soon.

    Thank you Michael.

Surprisingly, the problem was the Google AMP WP plugin.
    I have removed it.

    Thank you.

    Alan

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I am glad that this issue is now resolved 🙂

Feel free to write to us should any other issues come up

    Hello guys,

    Same problem here.

It started since the last updating, I think it’s yesterday.

It’s an issue only on tha panel, since it’s not changing anything in the code:

    Thanks for your help.

Just ran the Health Check plugin and alone, the plugin already has the issue. I think it’s not a conflict with other plugin.

    Can you help?

I just added a new story from one of my writers, on a different site, which doesnt have the AMP plugin, so my guess is that is has nothing to do with the AMP plugin – because I can turn that plugin back on, and it has no effect.

The problem is there on other sites that don’t use that plugin.
I thought that flipping one of the NOINDEX settings had fixed it permanently – thinking maybe there was a missing setting.

So I went back to RankMath Titles & Meta and flipped “Noindex Empty Category and Tag Archives” to off and saved it, but that didn’t help on this other site. Then I flipped it back to ON, and saved it. That didn’t help.

SO I deactivated several plugins and refreshed the “New Post” page, but it didn’t help. Reactivated those plugins, refreshed, no difference. Deactivated another group of plugins, same result.

Then I sent back to the Dashboard and then “New Post” This time, the NOINDEX setting went away.

So my guess is that it has something to do with the INDEX/NOINDEX settings, and something you’ve just added – the recent bugfix – did something that has messed up the logic – maybe you’ve added a new field at some time?

    – And the reason flipping the setting off and back on didn’t fix it is that I only refreshed the “New Post” page – When I went back to the dashboard first, and then back to New Post, it did fix the problem.

Bernardo – Can you try what I did?

    – Go to RankMath Titles & Meta
    – flip “Noindex Empty Category and Tag Archives” the opposite way
    – save the settings
    – flip “Noindex Empty Category and Tag Archives” back the way it was
    – save the settings
    – Go to “All Posts”
    – Go to “New Post”

Let us know if that fixes it.

    OK this is weird.
I thought I had this beat, but when I turned the “MyThemeShop Connect” plugin, the problem came back.
I turned off the “MyThemeShop Connect” plugin and the problem goes away immediately.

    Hello Alan,

    It’s not working, at all.

I bet they’ll act fast and update RankMath in 1 or 2 days. I think it’s an issue not related to a plugin compatibility. It’s started yesterday after their last updating 3 days ago.

    Best,

    Hello Bernardo,
