Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
To help us further debug the issue could you please indicate a couple of the URLs that are redirecting to the homepage of your website?
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for getting back to us.
The issue here is more about the indexation of your links. I have checked most of the links you have inserted above and they all seem to go to their respective pages.
I would recommend that you submit your sitemap to the Google Search console for further crawling of your site. It will help search engines discover your site more.
Please do let us know if you have any other queries for us.
Thank you.Dear Brian, thanks for your reply. The sitemap has already added in search console. One thing I want to know, can I create or generate fresh sitemap, because when this was hacked, the hacker has added lot more things in the sitemap. Or if you can visit my website and find our the cause. In Google search, I can see more hit to home page which was Never before.
Thanks,
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
Simply flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/xXXhDtAll the post/pages/CPT will be populated inside the sitemap as per you settings.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
I saw the video, it has lots of options in sitemap settings >General sections. But in my page it has only 2 options “Images in Sitemap” and include featured image. The number of link is not there. Can you let me know how to share image, so that I could share screen shot. Thanks
Hello,
Thank you for keeping in touch with us.
It seems you are using the easy mode. Do note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If it’s not showing, you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode. Please follow the steps in this link to switch to Advanced Mode:

I just observed my recent post which is appearing in 2nd page of Google search, it’s directing to homepage.
“Patna High Court: trial court order is an example of how not to write a judgement, husband acquitted of dowry death charge”..The below post appearing in 4t page of Google search, is also directing the homepage.
“Salem Police brutally beaten a 47-year-old man to death: Tamil Nadu”
Can you please look of the issues posted in above thread? It’s directing to homepage.
Hello,
I have just checked both on the posts you claim here and they do not seem to be indexed on Google.
Let’s start with this one here:
“Patna High Court: trial court order is an example of how not to write a judgement, husband acquitted of dowry death charge”.
If you check it on search engines using its title as the keyword it shows other posts and taxonomies within the site. Instead, it should show as the first one. See screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/u0V1sE
It bears the URL
https://mensplanetnews.in/news-english/28/06/2021/4988/
to which IO can also see it is not indexed on SERPs. See here: https://i.rankmath.com/L9hwk4Moreso you claim that it redirects to the homepage which is not the case from my end here: https://i.rankmath.com/wWWgUN
This is the same case with your second link here which you claim appears on 4th page of SERPs:
https://mensplanetnews.in/news-english/30/06/2021/5049/
.
It still does not show on SERPs, and it is definitely not redirecting to the homepage. My recommendation is that you check for the meta robots of your pages here and ensure that they are set to index. If you are noticing them please try making a search on an incognito browser mode. Ensure that you have also cleared your cache here.
We are looking forward to helping you more.
Thank you.Dear Brian,
Thanks for your reply and information provided. I am less technical in this,, but whatever you have suggested me, is helpful for me to understand the issue. I will revert you in-case I see any further help from team.
Thanks again!
I am not marking it resolved, but if you see this to be marked, then please tell me.Dear Brain, I just verified it, under Tile and Meta, post setting for Index box was checked. Or I have to Check other settings. If this is right then what is the resolution.
Regards,
Hello,
Since the post is already marked as
index
, I would recommend that you make sure they both appear in your sitemap. If so you can re-submit your sitemap to Google search console and then wait for it to discover and crawl these links. Once done they will finally be indexed.Hope this resolves your query here. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.Dear Brian, thanks for replying. But one thing I am unable to understand that Google crowled the homepage and not the post?
Isnot it something wrong?Hello,
There can be many reasons for that like if Google crawled your website via the sitemaps and the post was not listed there, or opposite to this, if Google crawled your website from other means like internal links and didn’t find that post.
In any case, this is also related to the crawl budget that Google assigns every website. If the crawl budget gets exhausted, then the crawling would stop there, regardless of whether or not all the pages were crawled.
However, I checked the source of the posts mentioned by my colleague and they are set to Index. The posts are also listed in your the post-sitemap.
In this case, I suggest you follow the below-mentioned steps:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/3. Clear your website’s cache and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap (
your-domin.com/sitemap_index.xml
) (please ensure to replace “your-domain.com” with your actual domain).Further, give Google some time to crawl your website again and see if the issue is fixed.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
