Hello,
To start with, this plugin is great. However, I am currently facing an issue with Youzer Plugin and BuddyPress.
The website is: https://myindiafacts.online/. It has BuddyPress enabled and it uses the plugin called Youzer.
The Youzer Plugin has the option of creating hashtags. When I create a hashtag, it appears as a clickable link. Clicking on the hashtag link takes the user to the relevant community post that has the hashtag. The page appears just fine. However, when I look at the page title, the title it shows is ‘Page Not Found – My India Facts’.
Originally, without Rank Math (that is plugin deactivated), clicking on the hashtag redirects to the community post which shows the URL in the format: https://myindiafacts.online/activity/?s=%23CleanUpJNU but the page title is ‘Activity – My India Facts’. Apparently, that is what it is supposed to be. The hashtag is within the activity page and hence, the page title shows to be Activity but since the user clicked on hashtag, it works as a search term which explains why the query parameter ?s shows up in the URL.
Also, if I keep Rank Math active and change the titles and meta under Misc. Pages >> 404 Title to %search_query% %sep% %sitename%, the page title on clicking the hashtag appears to be “#CleanUpJNU – My India Facts”.
There is definitely some problem with Rank Math and Youzer/BuddyPress. Rank Math should have a way of dealing with hashtags as they are pretty popular in social networking platforms.
Do you have a solution to this problem?
