If these are images hosted on your site, you can tell Google not to crawl them by blocking them using the robots.txt file.
For example, if you want Google to exclude the dogs.jpg image that appears on your site at http://www.yoursite.com/images/dogs.jpg, add the following to your robots.txt file:
User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /images/dogs.jpg

That means that Rank Math is fetching the data from your Google Search Console. The red dot means that your website is not yet connected to your Google account. Please make sure you have already connected and granted permissions if it’s still showing the red dot. Here’s a link for your reference:

To remove media content or a URL from Google search permanently, You can delete the file as you have already done.
Because google stated: Remove or update the content on your site (images, pages, directories) and make sure that your web server returns either a 404 (Not Found) or 410 (Gone) HTTP status code. Non-HTML files (like PDFs) should be completely removed from your server.
Soon your images will disappear from the SERPs.
