    dear rank math support. i am using your free version. i had trouble with my sitemap last week and you had set a screencast how to flush cache and set up again. but i now get html not supported file for site map in google search console. is there a possible plugin issue with other plugins and as i read could a robot.txt, i am not sure.
    i really dont know how to fix it. do you have any suggestions. thank you, sandra

    also i see that there is an update is it safe to do an update will it fix the sitemap error? thank you

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Please update the plugin to the latest version and follow these steps:
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    Then remove the sitemap from Search Console and add sitemap_index.xml again.

    That should fix the issue. Please let me know if that does not. We are here to assist.
