Now I was able to log in to your website. after troubleshooting, I have found that the “Open External Links in New Tab” feature is working on the other part of your website except for your content.

I’m not sure what’s happening, but I added a loom video and literally copy and pasted the name and password from the sensitive data section and it worked perfectly.
Can you try again? I’ll look to set up another user with a brand new name and password again so you have 2 options to try.

Do you have the following filter on your website?

add_filter( 'rank_math/link/remove_class', '__return_true' );
It seems that all your outbound links don’t have this class, so if you have this filter please disable it temporarily and see if the setting is applied correctly.

We haven’t established any filters on the site. We have all of the RankMath schema applying, so we definitely aren’t removing RankMath code.
What else could be causing this? Were you able to login and see?

We are not using a custom installation and our WP content folder is in the default location with the default name. I attached a photo of it being exactly where it needs to.
We also are not filtering as you suggested.
Can you please help me understand why the plugin feature is not working to properly open external links in a new tab?
