RM not applying correct titles and description to most pages, something is wrong.

In the examples given under Sensitive Data, you’ll see, despite my having them set at “%category% | %site_title%” for example, it’s outputting “%site_title%%category%”

The blog page listed is showing the meta from some random post. What’s going on here?

    Thanks

  • I’m having the same issue. I’m trying to find an older version of the plugin to see if that helps.

Sucks this is happening, but I’m glad to see it isn’t only me having this issue.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I am afraid that I cannot replicate this on my end.
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

%site_title% is not a valid variable, the correct variable should be %sitename%, I have modified this on the global settings page and the right title is displayed on the blog & category pages.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I see, thanks for that. However I did not add %site_title% – perhaps that was imported from AIOSEO?

If that’s true, it might be a good future practice to automatically convert that over when importing settings?

    Thanks

    Hello,

I’m going to pass your feedback to the dev team for further consideration and hopefully, such an option will find it’s way into the plugin’s development roadmap.

If you don’t mind me asking, could you please leave us a review (if you haven’t already) on https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/seo-by-rank-math/reviews/?rate=5#new-post about your overall experience with Rank Math? We appreciate your time and patience.
