However, if there is a pattern in the URLs, then the redirections could be achieved in fewer redirects.
Could you please share some of the URLs to be redirected so that we can see if there is a pattern in the URLs?

Your URLs here that you are obtaining from your source do not have a specific pattern as they are all having different slugs.
We do recommend that you have them redirected normally using the redirection module.
Regardless of the number and so long as they no longer exist from your old blog posts then you can them redirected to the new posts URLs.

Not necessarily delete or unpublished your old posts. It is fine if you set up the redirects even they are still published.
What my colleague means is that, as long as those old posts are no longer needed or you don’t want them to be accessed anymore, then you can add the redirects.
