If you want to use the shortcode, copy and paste the shortcode to the text editor of any post/page, and the Rank Math will pull the breadcrumb for that specific post/page., as mentioned in our KB. I would suggest using the template method instead. It will show on every page/post.

If I enable the breadcrumbs in RankMath settings does that mean the breadcrumbs should show up on my blog posts and recipe custom post type pages?
I have tried inserting the Breadcrumbs using the widget from Elementor Pro but cannot find it.
also if i were to add code to enable breadcrumbs (which I have not done) would it make a difference if I did it using a short code inserter or putting it inside my php files using a child theme?

Yes, It will show on every page.

Okay thanks I understand now so if I enable the breadcrumbs inside RankMath settings it will display the breadcrumbs in the SERPs but to get the breadcrumbs to show on my actual pages such as blog posts I will need to insert custom code or use the widget if i have the pro version right?

The breadcrumbs will only appear in the SERPs if they are present on the page.
You can insert the breadcrumbs PHP code in the header.php file of the theme to apply breadcrumbs on all your pages.
Yes, if you are using Elementor and want to show breadcrumbs on the page, you need to get the PRO plugin.

Just to clarify, if i Enable breadcrumbs function inside RankMath settings it wont do anything unless I also insert the php code into my theme file section?
Just a bit confused because I can see breadcrumbs are being displayed for my pages in the SERPs, not sure if this is because I enabled the breadcrumbs function side RankMath or whether Google pulled it because of good site structure.

The breadcrumbs schema by Rank Math will still be added to your website because you have enabled the breadcrumbs feature even you didn’t add any code to your template.
