Hi I keep getting this problem in my SEO analisis
The www and non-www versions of your URL are not redirected to the same siteeverything is good so i dont know what the problem is.

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us.
Here, the issue is related to the
wwwcanonicalization of your website.For Google,
www.website.comandwebsite.commean different things, even if the difference is justwww. When you set up your website for the first time, you have the option to choose between the www version or the non-www version. Whichever version you choose, the other version should be redirected to the original. You can create a 301 (Permanent) redirection to fix this issue. For more details, please refer to these tutorial guides:
https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-analysis/#www-canonicalization
https://rankmath.com/blog/seo-audit/ (in this article, search for the term “canonicalization” to move to the required section).Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Yea but my website works with both with and without www
so i dont know what the problem isHello,
Thanks for your reply.
If the preferred version of your website is with www, then you should redirect the non-www version of your website to the preferred version.
Example:
https://www.your-domain.comtohttps://your-domain.comIn the same way, if the preferred version of your website is without www, then you have to redirect the www version of your website to the preferred version.
Example:
https://your-domain.comtohttps://www.your-domain.comYou can find the preferred version of your website under your WordPress admin area > Settings > General. https://i.rankmath.com/QgYA1V
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
But both my site adress and wordpress adree start with www so thats obviusly not the problem.
Hello,
Thanks for getting back to us.
If the preferred version of your website is with
www, then the non-www version of your website should be redirected to the preferred version.Could you please share your website’s URL so that we can check it on our end?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thanks.
Yea its:
Hello,
Thank you for that information.
I’ve checked your site, and it seems that your site does not yet redirect from non-www to www version of your site. You can also use this tool to check.
You can read this tutorial of the .htacess method that will help you to redirect non-www to www URLs using the
.htaccessfile.I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
SO i tried getting my host to do it but they cant. IS it possible to fix this trhough the redirect of Rank Math?
ALso i am confused, Ive checked all on the non redirected sites and they all still take me to my website without any problem.
Hello,
Thank you for the update.
Unfortunately, redirecting your site from non-www to www is not possible through Rank Math redirection. This should be done from your
.htaccessfile.Also, your web host should be in a better place to help you with this kind of redirect.
However, you can also include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section for us to further check this issue on your site.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
Thank you, and we really look forward to helping you.
Yes i contacted my host and they said they coulnt do it because theyre using NGINX? something like that i think. Do you still need credentials need to enter? would that be easier?
Hello,
Thank you for the follow-up.
Since you’re using Nginx for your site, you may need to do the redirection to your config file instead of the
.htaccess.Here’s a link that might help:
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-redirect-www-to-non-www-with-nginx-on-centos-7Your web host should also take care of this kind of redirection even your site’s running under the Nginx server.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
Yes Thank yoU! I think i got it but now just one last thing.
I checked the redirect link you posted
but it always shows:
https://www.cafe1170.comas not re directed. Im guessing it will always that way since its the main link right?
Hello,
Thank you for the follow-up, and apologies for the delay.
Yes, that will be your final version of your site and it will still remain 200 Ok status when you check using this tool. I’ve also checked your site using our External SEO Analyzer and the WWW Canonicalization is already fixed.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
Thank you!
