Normally, 500 errors are server errors. Could you please get in touch with your host and seek their help in checking the kind of errors that are reported on the error log?

For the permalink problem, could you please confirm if the issue still persists when Rank Math is deactivated? You can also follow this troubleshooting guide and disable Rank Math during troubleshooting mode.
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
