Hello,
Thanks for getting back.
This will only noindex the author pages. It will not affect any posts created by the authors. I have checked it on my site and it works fine. You can check on your end too.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
Can you clarify what is meant by “author pages”. This is like the page of the link I shared, or this is the page that has all posts from specific author ?
Hello,
Thanks for keeping in touch.
Author pages here mean that the page that is created for the authors. No Indexing the author pages will not have any effect on the Posts created by them.
However, if you want to No Index only a specific Author, then please follow this screencast for a quick reference: https://www.loom.com/share/413b203bfffa4639b0feecd8dcfe4eca
The link that you’ve shared is an author page and you can either No Index it globally (for all author pages) or you can No Index specific author pages. My colleague suggested you the method for No Indexing the Author Pages globally and the above screencast No Indexes a specific author page.
Hope this clarifies things further.
Thanks.
