    Hi,

I am contacting you as I would like to know what to put in the headline and meta description in the schema section? Should it be the same as the SEO title and meta description of the post or page or different?

    Many thanks

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us.

By default, the Headline and the Description fields in the Schema Editor are filled with the SEO title and SEO description of your current post.

You can leave it as it is or if you wish, then you can write a custom headline and description for the schema. Here, you can also make use of variables.

For more details, please refer to our tutorial guide:

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Hi Prabhat,

Thank you for your reply. So if I understand correctly, by leaving the %seotitle% and %seodescription% like it is, the schema will automatically take the description and seo title I wrote on the page?

I have attached a picture below.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, that’s correct, if you do not modify the Headline and Description fields in the Schema editor, then the default values i.e., the SEO Title & Description of the current post will be used.

The image you’ve shared is inaccessible.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance, we are here to help.

    Thanks.

    Hi Prabhat,

Many thanks for your reply and my apologies, I believe you need to click on where it says img and not https (they are 2 separate links)

Also, I noticed there are a lot of elements to my Schema (.

Can the schema be simplified and more organised like this website?

    Many thanks

    James

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

I was able to access the image and I can see that you’ve set your SEO Title & Description. If not altered, then this data will be used in the Schema Headline & Description.

With the PRO version of Rank Math, you can create schema as per your needs i.e., custom Schema, also you can easily import schema from other websites. If you wish, you may have a look at our plans comparison chart: https://rankmath.com/pricing/#comparison

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Hi Prabhat,

    That’s perfect.

    I’ll take a look

    Many thanks
