Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
These are not actual 404 errors that would affect your SEO since they represent the interaction of your site with the server and search engine bots.
You can safely ignore these errors.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hi Jeremy,
thanks a lot – I am quite relieved. However just out of curiosity: what is happening there?
Cheers,
Stephanie
Hello,
Thank you for the follow-up.
Please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated. From your screenshot, it seems that we have determined that these are just bots crawling your site and searching for resources that don’t exist, which returned 404 errors.
If you encounter links in the 404 Monitor that should exist, you can fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:
https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/
Or, you can add them to the exclusion list at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor > Exclude Paths
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
Hi Reinelle,
yes, thanks a lot for your qucik help!
Best regards,
Stephanie
