  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

That should fix the issue. Please let me know if that does not. We are here to assist.

I have just followed the steps. However, the issue still persists. Can you tell me how long it would take the sitemap to be updated?

    Hello,

The sitemap should be updated immediately after flushing the permalinks and sitemap cache.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the login details!

I was able to log in to your website’s backend. Upon inspecting the post, link of which you shared above in this ticket, I found that you have set a custom Canonical URL on the post. As I removed the Canonical URL, your post was listed in the Sitemap. Please see the screenshot available in the Sensitive Data section of this ticket.

The Canonical URL is needed in order to avoid duplicate content issues. Adding a custom Canonical URL restricts the post from getting listed in the Sitemap.

You can read more about Canonical URLs and their settings here: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-change-canonical-url/

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for your help. The issue is resolved now and the url has appeared in the sitemap now
