Remove WooCommerce category base random 404

    We have the option to remove the category base in WooCommerce set to enable.

    At seemingly random times, links to category/archive pages will stop working and result in a 404 error.

    A quick fix that we have found is to simple disable and re-enable the RankMath plugin. Doing so restores the functionality and the page now shows.

    Any ideas why this might be happening, and why simply disabling and re-enabling the plugin would fix it?

    It could be that your permalinks settings aren’t staying saved and require flushing permalinks. To do this, please head over to your WordPress admin area > Settings > Permalinks, and click on the Save Changes button. https://i.rankmath.com/bFAkM4

    If that doesn’t help, it would seem like a re-write rules issue that needs to be flushed. For more details, you can refer to the below article link:

    If that doesn’t work either, you might need to check the .htaccess file to see if the file is getting reset for some reason.

    Hello,

    I also wanted to add that our beta update has already a fix for enabling the “Remove Category Base” option that creates 404 Pages on some installations.

    Could you please try our beta version and see if the issue still persists? You can follow the steps in this link:
