    Hi,

    I cannot change the snippets (meta title + descriptions) for my pages anymore. It does work for the woocommerce products, but not for the pages.

    My site, theme and all plugins are up to date. I also deleted wp-rocket cache and browse cache. But still does not work.

    Can you help me?

    Best Regards,
    Thomas

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Are you not seeing the SEO Meta Box in Pages or you are not able to save the meta title & description?

    If you are not able to save, please follow this guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/

    If you are not seeing the SEO Meta Box in your pages, please enable Advanced Mode in Rank Math:
    advacned

    Once Advanced mode is enabled, head over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Turn on Add SEO Meta Box
    seo

    I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi,

    I can see the meta boxes, but I am not able to save changes. But there is no error, but when I close the page and open it again the changes are disappeared…

    Hello,

    It would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that update all the plugins and themes and follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Here is a detailed guide you can follow if the Title, Description aren’t being saved.
    https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/

    I hope this helps. We really look forward to helping you.

    I don’t think it is a plugin problem. When I am running the same website (with all plugins) localy under Xampp I am able to edit the snippet.

    I seems to be a problem with PHP settings, but I don’t know where to start with…

    Hello,

    Thank you for the follow-up.

    If you are using a Firewall, there are chances that it will prevent saving the data. Please disable that and try to save the metadata again.

    If the issue still persists, it could be due to JavaScript-related errors. Please follow the steps in this link:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/#3-javascript-related-errors

    I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    I am not using any firewall. Also for Javascript I cannot see any errors…

    I have changed the postmeta now through MyPHPAdmin.

    Hi Thomas,

    Could you maybe check what error is listed in rank math \ status & tools – system status – error log.

    There might be an error listed there with more details on what is going on.
    Maybe give us copy of the error if any we see what we can do.

    Thanks.

    Hi Michael

    RankMath is not able to retrieve an error log. Although this is enabled in wp-config file:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );

    Hello,

    We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

    It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

    You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

    We really look forward to helping you.

    Hi Jeremy,

    I can’t give you access to this site.

    I am fine using MyPHPAdmin since there are not many changes to make. This problem seems to happe to other people as well. So I prefer to wait for a solutuion.

    Cheers,

    Thomas
