Hi, I’ve just set up Rank Math following Ferdy Korpershoek’s YouTube video.

Although I have tried to follow it closely, I must have done something wrong.

My SEO Title is getting shown twice.

Can you please make sure that you are not adding a duplicate variable something like this %sitename% %sitename% in the homepage meta settings?

Check your global post meta settings by heading to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Homepage and inspect if there are duplicate variables:

If your homepage is a static page, you can check your meta title in the Snippet editor too. Please refer to this video screencast:

If everything seems to be in order on your end and the issue persists. We might need to check this one over your admin settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Hi Jeremy,

Good to hear from you.

I’ve generated a temporary login URL to my site.

My theme is nearly 10 years old and I’m in the process of creating a new website with Blocksy and Brizy. The site is currently using WordPress 5.6.1. If I upgrade it will break the site. But I don’t think that has any effect on the problem. Most likely, I got one of the settings wrong.

Hello,

I have just logged in and noted that your theme does not support title-tag but this can be fixed by enabling the option to rewrite titles through Rank Math > Titles and Meta > Global Meta > Rewrite titles.

I have gone ahead and enabled this option for you and this should fix the double site name on the title.

You can check your page source, title meta is set up a single time. Or you can use the following tool.
