These are instructions for creating a google search property and adding universal analytics property. My website was already a Property. I don’t see any way to create a universal analytics property on an existing property.

Do I need to remove the website/property and recreate it to get that create universal analytics property option?

    Thanks
    John

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

You should be able to create a GA v3 or a Universal Property without deleting the old one.

Are you able to see this settings page when clicking your Admin settings?

Helps to be on the right website. I added my site with both GA v4 and Universal and the plugin can now see my site. Should Analytics have a green dot like Search? See screenshot in link below.

    Hello,

Yes, it should. In ‘View’ selection, select All Data and save.

If it does not work, please ensure that you create a GA3 Universal property only and not GA4.

Ensure that it was created as https:// as your site primary is using it.

I hope this helps you with your issue. Let us know if you need anything else.
