I noticed that your sitemap is behind Cloudflare. You can exclude sitemap from being cached from this guide:

The sitemap is showing the number of images=0, Please check the screenshot.
I added just the “*mydomain.com/*sitemap*” to page rule inside my Cloudflare account, I’m not sure if this will exclude the sitemap from caching.

The path /virtual-tours you added is without an /at the end. It should be /virtual-tours/
This could become an issue when the sitemap is generating a wrong path to the URL of the images.
