It looks like you are serving a cached version of your sitemap to Google and your visitors.
Can you please follow these steps?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server.

No we don’t have a security plugin – but I resolved it by using this thread. Had Google Live Inspect the URL and it found it and now it works.

Just said it – I had to have Google Live Inspect the Sitemap URL and somehow that worked.
