Hi,
I never got to transfer my data from Yoast to RankMath. What did I miss or where did RankMath fail?
-
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
If you did not import Yoast setting in the setup wizard, you can still do it by
going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math Dashboard > Import & Export and there look for the Yoast section and import the data.I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hi,
Sorry can´t find anything of sort! It states Import from other SEO.. I click and I get to an article that shows me how to the Set up wizard work and when I use it.. nothing comes up about Importing Yoast dataHello,
Sorry for the confusion.
The Import option will only show if the Yoast was activated/present in the list of plugins on your website. It should look like this:
If there are no such options, you can import your Yoast’s Data via CSV using WP All Import. This will import all your SEO data to Rank Math
https://wordpress.org/plugins/import-xml-csv-settings-to-rank-math-seo/I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
It was present even WP told me deactivate I did not. SO that failed! Then you tell me to- CSV using WP All Import. This will import all your SEO data to Rank Math
https://wordpress.org/plugins/import-xml-csv-settings-to-rank-math-seo/This option told me to download another plugin that sounded the same.. when i did so a fatal error occurred and I am back square zero!
Hello,
Thank you for the following up.
If you’re unable to access your admin dashboard due to a fatal error, please rename the wp-all-import folder in your website’s root directory to temporarily disable it. You can find it in
/wp-content/plugins/
In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
Thank you, and we really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), the error suggests there is a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the troubleshooting and edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
We really look forward to helping you.
I have all plugins updated, I got no warnings when transferring, more then deactivate Yoast. I would prefer you do it but for that to happen I need an email from you to be able to give you temp access.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards
M

Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for following up.
I’ve checked your site, and it seems that Rank Math is deactivated at the moment. Since there’s a fatal error that happened on your site previously, please also add the FTP access in the designated Sensitive Data section to further investigate and to avoid downtime as well.
We appreciate your continued patience in this matter.
Thank you, and looking forward to helping you.
Sorry, I do not follow!? Naturally I deactivated RankMath since I can not be without SEO plugin for days. You ask for access and now you ask me what exactly?
The access is in the bottom of sensitive data!
Hello,
Sorry for the confusion.
The access link you have provided is already working, but only for your WordPress admin dashboard. We ask for FTP access as well since there’s an instance of a fatal error on your website. If we do some troubleshooting, FTP access would be helpful to quickly fix any issues and a possible downtime (hopefully there’s none).
We recommend contacting your web host to have FTP access to your site if you don’t have one.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for following up.
Unfortunately, the access link you have provided for your WordPress Admin dashboard is already expired. Could you please check?
Please also include the hostname/server name to successfully connect to your website’s root directory via FTP.
Thank you, and looking forward to helping you.
