Hi, I’ve set title & meta for a custom post type (single page) like this;
https://ibb.co/NYQjZsM
However, after deleting cache & waiting for a while, it’s not applied to <title> tag;
https://ibb.co/zZ936fmHow can I make this work?
Thanks,
Mayumi

Hello,
It would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/Please let us know if you found a plugin conflict. If you didn’t found any plugin conflict. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi Roel, thanks for your reply. I don’t know why and I did nothing but now it is applied to <title> tag okay. I guess it’s was just a time lag.
However, though I’ve set sing post title for a custom post type like;
%title% (%categories%) %page% %sep% %sitename%looking at the title tag, the post category (%categories%) is missing. The post has category.
Is it by design that RankMach cannot retrieve its post category for custom post? If not, I would love to ask for further support as guided 🙂
Regards,
MayumiHello,
Thank you for following up.
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Thanks Reinelle for the reply.
I’ve shared the temporary credentials for WP admin.
As my hosting doesn’t allow me to allocate FTP account for specific directory, it’s not possible to share the FTP with you.Hope this works at your end.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math.
Since you using a post type and you want to display the category in your post type in the title. You need to call the
%customterm(term_value)%
. That variable will display your current category in your post type.Please see the screenshot below.
We hope this helps resolve your issue.
Thank you.
Hi Roel,
Thank you for clarifying! It works 🙂
May I have one question regarding this?
How can I make sure what the “term_value” is – in this case, how can I find the string “citroen_category”?Regards,
MayumiHello,
The string
citroen_category
appears to be your taxonomy name just like products would haveproduct-categories
or normal wordpress posts havecategories
. This is added automatically by the setup you are using to add t=your custom post type.Hope this helps you. Thanks
Hi Michael,
Understood!
Thank you for your support.Mayumi
