I’m noticing this issue in more and more tickets lately, so it seems it’s ongoing.
I’m at the latest version of RM. I tried refreshing permalinks. All sitemaps are set correctly.
Brands are marked as index in RM settings: https://i.gyazo.com/d97d2eca82eea503091e1aa59e2a0c53.png
They’re also marked individually as index: https://i.gyazo.com/8abddcc59c59923a996ed2c10273d5d8.png
Yet for some reason, most of them (but not all), still have the noindex tag: https://i.gyazo.com/e4014956ad672d8b33e62f30190660b4.png
URLs are in the sensitive data field.
Thank you for the help.

Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
I checked the brand URL you shared and it seems to be actually set to noindex in the back end in the SEO meta box, please check the screenshot I have added in the sensitive section.
You should check the same for any other URLs appearing as nonidexed.
Looking forward to helping you
Hello,
Thank you for the additional information.
We’ve checked your site, and we noticed that you had enabled the Noindex Empty Category and Tag Archives here:
All the taxonomy, including your Brand taxonomy, will be automatically set to noindex if the taxonomy is empty or contained no products.
So all the brands located here, without product on it will be set to
noindex:
If you want to index the taxonomy brand even without a product, then you would need to disabled that option.
I hope that helps. Let us know if you need help with anything else.
Thank you.
Thanks, but shouldn’t that be a taxonomy-level option and not global?
I don’t want empty categories and tags to be indexed, but the brands are a page of their own, not just a taxonomy index page.
Thanks,
ChrisHello,
We’ve updated your site and this is what we do, we have the code below to your snippet plugin.
Please see screenshot below:
What the code does is that, If the term is equal to taxonomy
product_brandthe meta robots will beindexeven the term is empty. So we have enabled the Noindex Empty Category and Tag Archives option.
Here is the code snippet:
add_filter( 'rank_math/frontend/robots', function( $robots ) { $term = get_term_by( 'slug', get_query_var( 'term' ), get_query_var( 'taxonomy' ) ); if( $term->taxonomy === "product_brand"){ $robots['index'] = 'index'; } return $robots; });Here is the sample screenshot:
We hope this resolves your issues, let us know if you need help with anything else.
Thank you.
That’s perfect, thank you!
