rank-math-options-general | 12189 |
rank-math-options-titles | 11102 |It appears that Rank Math autoloads a TON data on my site. Is there any way we could scale that back? It would be awesome for the people who need the autoload room for other things such as themes and such.
Thanks!

Hello,
Those two are needed to load all options in the General Settings and Titles & Meta. It is nothing to be worried about and the number of options you see in them depend on how many things you need to control with Rank Math.
Hope that helps.
What can I disable to limit how much autoload takes up?
Hello,
Thank you for keeping in touch with us.
I have forwarded this topic to our Developers to see if this is possible by using some PHP functions.
Thank you for your patience.
Hello,
We cannot set autoload to “no” in Rank Math options because we need the options almost on all the pages. Other than Rank Math pages, we also run the background process where this is needed.
Setting it to no can affect the plugin functionality. Other SEO plugins and even WPML doesn’t do this for the same reason. So, it is normal and nothing to be worried about.
Normally, the effect of that is minimal, not even measurable. If you believe you are seeing a substantial difference in your performance due to this – please share more details like what these numbers denote?

These numbers denote the amount of memory that is being auto loaded in each page. Most plugins run under 80000 yet yours run around 230000. You can use WP Doctor to find out how much memory is being auto loaded on each page.
Hello,
As mentioned by my colleague, the autoload settings is required for these two options, since they are needed on each page load, and turning off autoload would in fact decrease the performance, because then WP would need to query these rows separately, instead of doing it at once along with all the other autoloaded options.
Could you please access the
wp_optionstable (thewp_prefix might be different in your case) in your database (using PhpMyAdmin or any other database manager tool) and share the contents of theoption_name = 'rank-math-options-general'row? Then we would see if there’s anything out of the ordinary in the row’s contents.Thank you. Looking forward to your reply.

Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
I added what’s in there in my private info. I’m not sure if this should be something I should show to the public.
Hello,
Thank you for sharing the details.
I checked the data and I don’t see anything out of the ordinary, nothing that should cause performance issues on your site. I see that you have added around 150 items in the 404 Monitor’s “Exclude Paths” option, that might be the reason for the high number you see in the “WP Doctor” plugin. However, that isn’t excessive either and shouldn’t cause any issue.
Can you try removing those “Exclude Paths” from the settings, save it, and then see if the numbers go down or not? You can easily create a backup of the settings in Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export, and later you can re-import those settings to get back the original settings. Or, you can also simply use the database manager to insert the data you shared here.
If decreasing the number of “Exclude Paths” does help, then we might be able help you merge some of those items into one regular expression, to decrease the number while keeping the functionality as it is now.
Hope that helps.
