Can you please follow these steps?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server, and that should fix the issue.

Hi is the video screenshot related to flushing the sitemap correct? Asked because there is a mention of altering the permalink settings in it.

Yes, you may need to save the permalinks again for the sitemap cache to be flushed. No worries, all your settings and permalinks won’t be changed since it’s only resaving, and you won’t need to modify anything before saving.
