General HTTP error

    I have a problem with my google search console concerning my sitemap.
    On the sitemaps page, I see: /sitemap_index.xml Status: Success

    When clicking on this, it says: Sitemap Index Processed Successfully

    Sitemaps read: /page-sitemap.xml Status: 1 error

    then the message: Sitemap could not be read

    General HTTP error 1 instance
    please, how can resolve this issue?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. Iā€™m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    I checked all your listed sitemaps, and they are all working fine.

    1. Please delete the sitemaps from the Google Search Console.
    ā€‹2. Clear your website cache and add sitemap_index.xml and *-sitemap.xml to the exclusion list in your Cache plugin.
    ā€‹3. Add sitemap_index.xml file again to your Google Search Console.
