    Hi

the global robots meta noindex can’t be turned off, I remove the tick from the box and it comes back as soon as I save changes.

WordPress dashboard > Settings > Reading option to Discourage Search Engines from indexing your site is DISABLED.

Discourage Search Engines from indexing is DISABLED on the hosting side as well.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

You will have to check the “Index” option and that will automatically uncheck the “no Index” option, then click Save Changes. Though, these can be changed for individual posts, taxonomies, etc.

Here is a reference screencast on how to check and uncheck the robots meta: https://i.rankmath.com/twSDRU

Hope that helps. Thank you and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Got it, thanks. I followed some old tutorials where the interface was different.
