Chronological Age Calculator

#1122511
  • Dear Rank Math Support Team,

I am facing an issue where Google is displaying my homepage URL https://thechronologicalagecalculator.com/ in search results instead of the actual post URL. The post itself is accessible and functions correctly when visited directly, but Google continues to index and show the homepage in search results.

    Steps I Have Taken:
Submitted my sitemap in Google Search Console.
Used the URL Inspection Tool in Search Console, which still shows the homepage as indexed instead of the correct post.
    Refreshed permalinks in WordPress settings.
Despite these efforts, the issue persists. Could you please help me understand why this is happening and provide guidance on how to resolve it?

    Best regards,

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with Google displaying your homepage URL instead of the actual post URL. Thank you for providing detailed steps you’ve already taken; this helps us understand your situation better.

Here are a few additional steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

    1. Check for Canonical Tags: Ensure that the post does not have a canonical tag pointing to the homepage. If it does, remove it so that Google understands the correct URL to index.

    2. Review Robots.txt: Make sure that your robots.txt file is not blocking Google from crawling your post URLs. You can check this by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.

    3. Inspect Internal Links: Ensure that there are internal links pointing to your post from other pages on your site. This can help Google discover and index the post more effectively.

    4. Submit Individual URL: Try submitting the individual post URL directly in Google Search Console using the URL Inspection Tool and request indexing.

    5. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can interfere with how URLs are indexed. You might want to check for any conflicts using the Health Check plugin.

    6. Wait for Reindexing: After making these changes, it may take some time for Google to reindex your site and reflect the changes in search results.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, we recommend replying to this ticket with any additional details or updates, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and we hope this helps resolve your issue!
