    Hello Rank Math team,

we are managing https://mita.si, a WooCommerce store using Rank Math.
We have an indexing inconsistency in Google Images:
When searching for product-related keywords like
“mita milka alpine milk” or “mita milka lesnikov namaz”

Google displays correct product images, but all of them share the same title — the title of the main product (for example “Milka 190G Alpine Milk”), even though the images belong to other related products displayed in sliders.

    What we verified

    1. Each product page includes only one @type: Product JSON-LD block, generated by Rank Math.
→ Confirmed via Rich Results Test.
    2. mainEntityOfPage appears only once, and all structured data validates correctly.
    3. Related products are shown in sliders (content-product-slider.php) using the WooCommerce loop, so their tags exist physically in the same DOM under <main>.
    4. No duplicated or custom product schema is present.

    What happens
Google indexes slider images as part of the page content and associates them with the main Product schema (same canonical URL).
As a result, in Google Images, multiple Milka variants share the same product title.

    We believe this happens because:
    – Rank Math’s Product schema is the only semantic entity on the page,
    – Google assigns all visible inside <main> to that Product entity.

    Question

Could you please confirm whether Rank Math has any internal mechanism to:
    – exclude elements from related products sections from being semantically connected to the main Product entity, or
    – define a stricter image context (e.g., limiting image property to WooCommerce’s main gallery images only)?

We want to ensure Google Images associates only the main product images with the Product entity and not those from “related” or “similar brand” sliders.

Thanks in advance for your guidance.
    Best regards,
    Rok
    Web Developer, mita.si

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with Google Images displaying incorrect product titles. Thank you for providing detailed information about your setup and the steps you’ve taken to verify the structured data.

Regarding your question, Rank Math does not currently have a built-in mechanism specifically designed to exclude “ elements from related product sections from being semantically connected to the main Product entity. The way Google interprets the images on your page can indeed lead to the situation you described, where related product images are associated with the main product schema.

To improve the situation, here are a few suggestions:

    1. Ensure Proper Use of Schema Markup: Make sure that only the main product images are included in the JSON-LD schema for that product. If related products are being included in the same schema, it may be beneficial to separate their schema markup or ensure they are not included in the main product’s schema.
    2. Use of Canonical URLs: Ensure that each product has a unique canonical URL and that related products do not share this URL. This helps Google understand which images belong to which product.
    3. Image Optimization: Optimize your images by ensuring that only the main product images are tagged with relevant schema properties. You can also consider using the image property in your JSON-LD to specify which images should be associated with the product.
    4. Review Related Products Display: If possible, consider modifying how related products are displayed on your site. For example, you could use a different section or markup that does not include their images in the main product’s semantic context.
