Persistent Issue: SEO Score Not Displaying Correctly on Newly Created Posts

#1119089
  • Dear Rank Math Support Team,

I am experiencing a severe and persistent technical issue where the Rank Math SEO score is not being displayed correctly in the Posts table, especially after trying to replace a problematic old post. The behavior suggests a deeper database or metadata conflict.

The core issue is that I cannot get the SEO score to show for a newly created article (even a clean copy), which prevents me from finalizing my content replacement strategy.

    1. Issue Context & Strange Behavior

I initially had an old article (URL slug: [Insert Old URL Slug Here]) with an incorrect/zero SEO score.

Attempting to fix it by creating a new article (Post #2, a copy of the old content) only resulted in the OLD article’s score magically fixing itself, while the NEW article’s score remained hidden/incorrect.

As a last resort, I performed a complete cleanup, deleting both the old and the intermediary posts permanently from the trash.

I then created a third, completely clean post (Post #3) with new content and a new URL.

The current problem: The latest published post (Post #3) still does not display the SEO score in the WordPress Posts table, repeating the error despite having a fresh Post ID.

    2. Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken

I have already exhausted the standard troubleshooting procedures without success:

Caching: Cleared all levels of cache (WordPress plugin, server/CDN cache like Cloudflare/LiteSpeed).

Rank Math Tools: Forced the “Rebuild SEO Scores” option under Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools multiple times.

Content: Confirmed the Focus Keyword is set and the post is saved/updated correctly.

Conflict Test: Tested the issue with a default WordPress theme (e.g., Twenty Twenty-Four) and most third-party plugins temporarily disabled (leaving only Rank Math and core system active). The problem persists.

    3. Request for Assistance

Since the error seems to “jump” from one post to the next and persists even after deleting and recreating posts on a clean Post ID, I suspect a specific metadata field or a database reference conflict is preventing Rank Math from reading/saving the score correctly in the admin dashboard view.

Could you please investigate this issue at the database level?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

    Best regards,
    Elena-Mădălina Radu

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the SEO score not displaying correctly for your newly created posts. Thank you for providing detailed context about the problem and the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken.

It seems like you’ve done a thorough job in trying to resolve this issue. Since the SEO score is not showing for your new posts, we recommend using the Recalculate Scores tool in Rank Math to ensure that the SEO scores are updated correctly for all your published posts. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Navigate to Rank Math in your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Go to Status & Tools.
    3. Click on Database Tools.
    4. Select the Recalculate Scores option.

    Update SEO Scores

This process may take some time depending on the number of posts on your website, so please keep the browser open until it completes. Once done, you should see a success message indicating that the scores have been recalculated.

If the issue persists after trying this, it may be beneficial to check if there are any database conflicts or errors that could be affecting the display of the SEO scores. You can also try rebuilding the index for analytics by going to Rank Math SEO → Status & Tools → Database Tools → Rebuild Index for Analytics.

    Rebuild Index for Analytics

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter.

    Hello,

I have already tried the steps with Recalculate Scores and Rebuild Index and it’s still not working, so I would really appreciate it if you assigned me to a human agent. Thank you!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We’re able to replicate this issue with the latest version of Rank Math, where the keywords and score are not showing on the list view.

However, this has already been fixed and is available in our beta update: https://rankmath.com/kb/version-control/#beta-updates

If you don’t want to update to the beta version, you can wait for the official update, which will be pushed in a few days.

We really appreciate your patience in the meantime.

    Looking forward to helping you.
