Unable to schedule recurring Analytics action

#1118224
  • Hello Rank Math team,

My site is showing the following error in the WordPress admin (Rank Math Dashboard / Analytics):

There was an issue scheduling the recurring action required for Analytics; if the problem persists, please contact our support team.

I have already tried basic troubleshooting:

Installed WP Crontrol and ran Rank Math cron events manually:

rank_math/redirection/clean_trashed (ran via “Run now”) — WP Crontrol returned: “Scheduled the cron event rank_math/redirection/clean_trashed to run now. The original event will not be affected.”

    rank_math/links/internal_links (attempted to run)

    rank_math/content-ai/update_prompts (attempted to run)

I am hosted on Hostinger (shared hosting).

    My admin/contact email: i**************@g********

The issue persists after the above steps. Could you please help with:

Checking whether Rank Math is able to schedule its recurring background job for Analytics on my site.

Confirming if there are any permission/token issues or missing capabilities that prevent scheduling.

Please let me know what details you need and how I should proceed. Thank you for your help.

    Kind regards,

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with scheduling the recurring Analytics action on your site. Thank you for providing detailed information about the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken.

To address the issue, we recommend checking a few things:

    1. Check WP-Cron Settings: Ensure that your wp-config.php file has the following line set to false:

      define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', false);

This setting allows WP-Cron to function properly.

    2. Use WP Crontrol: Since you’ve already installed WP Crontrol, navigate to Tools → Cron Events and check if there are any errors listed above the Cron Events. If you see any errors, please provide that information as it can help diagnose the issue further.

    3. Scheduled Actions: You can also check the status of scheduled actions under WordPress Dashboard → Tools → Scheduled Actions → Pending. Look for any Rank Math analytics actions and try running them manually if they are pending.

    4. Server Cron Configuration: If your site has very few visits, WP-Cron may not run as expected. Consider configuring a Server Cron to trigger WP-Cron, which can help ensure that scheduled tasks run reliably. You can find more information on how to do this in your hosting control panel or by contacting Hostinger support.

    5. Domain Name in Google Analytics: Ensure that the domain name configured in your Google Analytics matches your actual site domain. You can check this in Google Analytics under Admin → Property → Property Settings.

If the issue persists after these checks, please reply to this ticket with any error messages you find or additional details about your setup, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to resolving this issue for you!

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
