Installation error

#1117558
  • Plugin Loads and activates fine. But, whenever I try to run setup wizard or click on a tab I receive an error:

“No route was found matching URL and request method.”

I worked through the following steps ( found on https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/issue-with-set-up-wizard-2/) to try and correct the issues

    1. Permalink Settings: Go to WordPress Dashboard → Settings → Permalinks and simply click Save Changes without making any changes. This can refresh your permalink structure.

    2. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Temporarily deactivate other plugins to see if there is a conflict causing this issue. If the Setup Wizard works after deactivating a plugin, reactivate them one by one to identify the culprit.

    3. Theme Conflicts: Switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-One) to check if your current theme is causing the issue.

    4. Server Configuration: Ensure that your server configuration allows for URL rewriting. If you’re using Apache, make sure that the .htaccess file is correctly set up.

    None resolved the issue.

    Error message received

    Thanks for your help

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the setup wizard in Rank Math. It seems like you’ve already taken some great troubleshooting steps. Since the error message indicates a routing issue, it might be related to server settings or a deeper conflict that isn’t resolved by the usual methods.

Here are a few additional steps you can try:

    1. Enable Troubleshooting Mode: You can enable troubleshooting mode in your WordPress site to help identify if there’s a plugin or theme conflict. This will disable all plugins and your theme temporarily, allowing you to test if Rank Math works without them. You can find this option under Site Health in your WordPress dashboard.
      Enable Troubleshooting Mode

    2. Check Server Logs: Sometimes, server logs can provide insight into what might be causing the issue. Check your server’s error logs for any messages that occur when you try to access the setup wizard.

    3. Contact Hosting Provider: If the issue persists, it may be beneficial to reach out to your hosting provider to ensure that there are no server-level restrictions or configurations that could be affecting the plugin’s functionality.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for your patience!
