There was an issue scheduling the recurring action required for Analytics

Hello, on the top of the Analytics page it is showing: “There was an issue scheduling the recurring action required for Analytics; if the problem persists, please contact our support team.”

I had a problem with no information showing up for Analytics or SEO optimization.

I checked my pending actions and rank_math/analytics/data_fetch is indeed there, so I ran it manually. After that a few more dozen pending actions appeared for Rank Math, and those completed successfully, and now SEO performance is loading, but I’m not sure if it will continue to update, because I still have the message “There was an issue scheduling the recurring action required for Analytics; if the problem persists, please contact our support team.”

And still nothing is showing up for Analytics. It’s just showing 28 in No Data.

I tried removing transients, rebuilding index, and re-creating missing database tables, but that didn’t solve anything.

I’m using a cloudways server if that’s relevant. I also have Google Site Kit on the site because that’s what was recommended when adding google analytics. Not sure if that’s relevant though either.

Can you help me out with this issue?

    Thank you.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Analytics setup in Rank Math. It seems like you’ve already taken several steps to troubleshoot the problem, which is great. Since you are still seeing the message about scheduling the recurring action and no data is showing up in Analytics, here are a few additional steps you can try:

    1. Check Scheduled Actions: You mentioned that you ran the rank_math/analytics/data_fetch action manually. Please ensure that other scheduled actions related to Rank Math are also running correctly. You can check this under WordPress Dashboard → Tools → Scheduled Actions → Pending.

    2. Reconnect Google Account: Sometimes, reconnecting your Google account can help resolve data fetching issues. Navigate to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics and click on the Reconnect link to disconnect and then reconnect your Google account.

    3. Test Connections: After reconnecting, use the Test Connections option in the Analytics settings to ensure everything is set up correctly.
      click Test Connections

    4. Update Data Manually: If you still see no data, try updating the data manually by clicking on Update Data Manually in the Analytics settings.

    5. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Since you have Google Site Kit installed, there might be a conflict between it and Rank Math. You can try temporarily deactivating Google Site Kit to see if that resolves the issue.

    6. Log Analytics Issues: If none of the above steps work, consider creating an Analytics debug log file to help diagnose the issue further. You can add the following filter to your theme’s rank-math.php file:

      add_filter( 'rank_math/analytics/log_response', '__return_true' );

After adding this, run the pending scheduled actions again and check for any logs that might provide insight into the problem.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for your patience, and we hope to get this resolved for you soon!
