Please do not give me the textbook responses for stupid people. I’ve done all the normal troubleshooting. Here’s the thing, Rank Math got all the descriptions right a few hours ago when I implemented my YouTube API. (By the way, something that is really annoying… your instructions say to enter YouTube API, go to General Settings > Webmaster Tools and enter the API in the field. There is no such field. This kind of thing really slows people down. There is nothing more frustrating than when the instructions do not match the interface, and RankMath is awful about this.) In case it’s helpful, for about 30 minutes my sitemaps disappeared totally from RankMath — and then magically re-appeared. After returning from its disappearing act, the descriptions were wrong. I’ve worked on this for 8 straight hours and now I need your help.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with your video descriptions and the frustration caused by the discrepancies in our instructions. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Regarding the generic boilerplate YouTube descriptions, there are a few common reasons this might happen:

    1. Meta Description Relevance: Ensure that the meta descriptions you have set are relevant and unique for each video. If they are too similar or not useful, Google may choose to display a generic description instead.
    2. Indexing Issues: Sometimes, if the latest version of your page hasn’t been indexed yet, it may show outdated information. You can check if your sitemap is correctly submitted to Google Search Console to ensure proper indexing.
    3. API Configuration: Since you mentioned implementing the YouTube API, ensure that it is correctly configured and that there are no issues with the connection between Rank Math and your YouTube account.

If you’ve already checked these aspects and the problem persists, we recommend replying to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. They will be able to provide more tailored help based on your specific situation.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue.

    Thank you for reaching out!

    Hello Rank Math Team,

I am a PRO plan user. I can see the News Sitemap module in Dashboard → Modules,
but it does not have a toggle switch, and the News Sitemap option does not appear
    under Sitemap Settings.

    I have already:
    – Reinstalled both Free + Pro plugins (latest versions)
    – Reconnected my account
    – Cleared all caches
    – Tried direct access via /wp-admin/admin.php?page=rank-math-options-news-sitemap

Still, the News Sitemap is not available.
Can you please confirm if the News Sitemap is included in PRO or only in Business?
If it should be in PRO, please help me activate it on my site: http://www.moneyfint.com

    Hello @jv-miller,

It seems that you’re currently using the Rank Math PRO plugin, but the account you used to open this ticket is a free account.

Can you please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com so we can locate your account and verify it?

    ,

Please note that only the posts/pages published in the last 2 days are included in the News Sitemap as per Google’s News Sitemap Guidelines.

Refer to the Google’s News Sitemap Guidelines here : https://support.google.com/news/publisher-center/answer/9606710?hl=en&ref_topic=9606468

You can also refer to more information about Working With the News Sitemap in Rank Math here : https://rankmath.com/kb/news-sitemap/

If you still see that some posts/pages are not appearing even after qualifying the requirements, then it might be a caching issue.

In that case, follow the steps below:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.
