about indexing

  • Hello. I was reading the page about indexing and I don’t understand very well this part. I’m portuguese.
Rank Math will now automatically submit URLs to IndexNow API, whenever a new post is published or modified on your website. However, please note, Rank Math will not automatically submit URLs that are set to NoIndex.

So after all when I post a new article is automac indexing to google, and search engines?. Or do I need manualy to do it. ? Thanks so much

  • Hello,

I apologize for the confusion you’re experiencing regarding indexing. When you publish a new article on your website, Rank Math will automatically submit the URL to the IndexNow API. This means that search engines like Google and others that support IndexNow will be notified of your new content, helping them to crawl and index it more quickly.

However, it’s important to note that if you set any URLs to "NoIndex," those URLs will not be submitted automatically by Rank Math. This is a way to prevent search engines from indexing certain pages that you do not want to appear in search results.

In summary, for articles that are not set to NoIndex, Rank Math will handle the indexing process automatically for you. You do not need to do it manually.

Thank you for raising this concern! If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask.
