    Hello,

I have asked if the plugin Polylang for woocommerce products is compatible with Rankmath and here is their answer :

Regarding their answer, could I use this plugin to translate my products page by taking into account all the SEO aspect ?

    Thanks a lot

    “Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and for your interest in our solution.

Regarding Rank Math, we do not have specific compatibility with this plugin as we have focused on compatibility with Yoast SEO. See: https://polylang.pro/how-to-make-yoast-seo-multilingual-with-polylang/.

Known limitations with Rank Math include the lack of proper multilingual support for sitemaps, unlike Yoast SEO or SEOPress, and issues with the “strip category base” feature.

I’ll elaborate on this point: if you use Rank Math’s feature to strip the category base, it will not work with Polylang. Why? Because Polylang relies on the native URL structure of WordPress and WooCommerce. And removing the category or product base is not even recommended by WooCommerce themselves. This requires custom rewrite rules that Rank Math does not generate, which can lead to conflicts in a multilingual environment. That said, many customers still use Polylang Pro with Rank Math despite these shortcomings.

What I can suggest here is to test it with Polylang from wordpress.org. If you are comfortable with that version, you should be satisfied with the Pro features.

I hope this has answered your request. I remain available if you have any other questions.”

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing. Based on the information provided, it seems that while Polylang does not have specific compatibility with Rank Math, many users still manage to use them together despite some limitations.

You can use Polylang to translate your WooCommerce product pages, but you may encounter some challenges regarding SEO aspects, particularly with features like stripping the category base, which may not work well in a multilingual setup with Rank Math.

If you decide to proceed with using Polylang alongside Rank Math, it would be wise to test the free version of Polylang first to see if it meets your needs before considering the Pro version. This way, you can evaluate how well it integrates with your current setup and whether it addresses your SEO requirements effectively.

Thank you for raising this concern, and if you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reply to this ticket!

    Hello,

    Thanks.

Following the guide, it will be fully compatible ? All the SEO Aspect will be really important.

    Hello,

Polylang is not yet fully compatible with Rank Math. This is because Polylang doesn’t have native compatibility for Rank Math and doesn’t intend to, despite our efforts to reach out to them many times. Since they aren’t willing to add the compatibility, there is nothing we can do to make our plugin work with their plugin.

You can follow the guide we shared earlier to add the combability.

We hope this clarifies your issue. If you have any questions or need more help, please let me know.

    Thank you.
